Service of the Longest Night, December 21, 6:30 p.m.

Christmas is a season of joy for the world, but there are sometimes life circumstances that make it hard for us to enter into the joy of the season.  A 'service of a longest night' is an invitation to a quieter service on the night of the winter solstice, to remind all of us that God's light can find us even when we are experiencing a 'dark night of the soul.'  During this service, we'll share of time of scripture reading, prayer and candle lighting.  Quiet special music will provide times of reflection.  Invite family, friends and neighbors to a meaningful, informal service that will be completed by 7:15 p.m.
